During both periods of crop growth (January to March and April to June, 2017), the soil available zinc was negatively significantly correlated with soil pH, available P, exchangeable Ca, exchangeable Mg and positively significantly correlated with relative dry matter (DM) yield. Soil Zn also positively significantly correlated with maize tissue Zn content (r = 0.521*). However, the CL of Zn were estimated to be 0.84 mg kg−1 in soils and 26.1 mg kg−1 in maize tissue for maize cropping as determined by Cate and Nelson’s (1965) graphical procedure. Maize crop may respond to Zn application in soils containing Zn at/below the above level. This data may be used for predicting plant response to Zn fertilizer and development of crop Zn nutrition guide for maximum production.]]> Wed 02 Mar 2022 16:25:21 AEDT ]]> Remediation of Frogmore Mine Spoiled Soil with Nano Enhanced Materials https://ogma.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:46721 Tue 29 Nov 2022 11:20:27 AEDT ]]> C₄ plants as biofuel feedstocks: optimising biomass production and feedstock quality from a lignocellulosic perspective https://ogma.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:17882 Sat 24 Mar 2018 07:56:19 AEDT ]]> The mysterious disappearance of maize: food compulsion and food choice in colonial New South Wales https://ogma.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:3779 Sat 24 Mar 2018 07:21:44 AEDT ]]> A transcriptional landscape underlying sugar import for grain set in maize https://ogma.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:48396 Mon 22 Apr 2024 14:54:52 AEST ]]> Understanding and manipulating sucrose phloem loading, unloading, metabolism, and signalling to enhance crop yield and food security https://ogma.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:18695 Mon 20 Jul 2015 17:48:33 AEST ]]>
